Neben Romanen, Kurzgeschichten und Philosophiebüchern schreibt Simon Van Booy Essays und Artikel in den Zeitungen The New York Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Mail und The Times. Desweiteren arbeitet er für den Rundfunk und die Bühne, schreibt Drehbücher und unterrichtet an der School of Visual Arts in New York.
